Everything comes to an end

Braden is 4 and doing great. we have been very lucky to have everything that we do with him. so many people have been big parts of our life that we will never forget what many of you have done for us. we are happy to say that Braden continues to surprise everyone with his great health and very cute face. he starts pre-k in a week and we are very happy.

So life is busy Steve and I still working like crazy. We have a new house in Prosper and we are very excited. All the family is doing good and moving on day to day like always. So i guess that it is time now for this blog to come to an end. We are blessed and we love you all for all the prayers and gifts over the last 4 years. But as crazy busy as we are it is really hard to keep this going.

I know that many of you talk to me on the phone and email and i will still continue that part of what we do. So again thank you all and who knows where Braden will pop up in the future!!

Happy New Year!! LATE

I know it has been a long time for me to post but we have been really busy. Holidays are over and then we had Steve's birthday and then ice storms and all sorts of stuff. We are all back into the swing of things working and just enjoying life. So I am home today with Braden and I looked at the date and in one month my baby will be 4!!! I can not believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was planning his 1st birthday and now I am on 4. Steve and I are blessed everyday that we have him.
We have had some great times this month already. The other day we took Braden to this park where we live and had the best time just walking around the pond and feeding the ducks. I think that the ducks may have been warned about Braden because they stared close enough just get food and not dared to cross that line. It was a great time. We took him to eat at the Purple Cow in Plano a fun little retro soda shop place. Steve and Braden are so funny together the things that they come up with. I find myself taking more pictures of Steve with Braden then me with Braden. I think that is because Braden is our only child and he is a boy and I want him to have that father son relationship and I want them both to look back and say WOW look at the fun we had. I really want to be the person watching and making that memory not only for them but for me. OK OK OK OK I know I am getting all Hallmark on you people so I will stop. Here are some of the better pictures that I want to share you with you all. They are the 2 most important people in my life and I love them both oh so much.
Thanks for checking in on us. One more thing Good Luck Marcos we wish you all the best on Thursday!!!!

Braden being silly at Steve's birthday party!
My neighbors and family helped me throw a party for Steve and this cake was awesome. Carrie makes great cakes.
Staring and getting ready to feed the ducks

Heart to heart with Daddy

I know Valentines Day is still like 2 weeks away but we needed something fun to do and these are all the cookies cutters I had. So this is what we did this afternoon.

The Holidays REALLY!!

Yes they are here! Time for turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, candy canes, fruit cakes, gingerbread cookies, egg nog, light, Santa and TRAFFIC!! I have never seen as much traffic on 380 as I so during the holiday season. So people if you live in the area cut up the tollway or go through Frisco let me get home at a reasonable time.

We are heading to Memphis Tennessee for Thanksgiving. We are looking forward to a nice time with family and friends. I am hoping to take Braden to see that Santa again at the mall there because it was not crowded at all when we went last time. I hear that Braden wrote his letter and is asking for a guitar, piano, and a flashlight. Lets hope Santa gets letter. We will be home for Christmas spending time with our family and friends here in Texas.

We will post and update when we have a free moment during the next few months. We wish you all a great Holiday Season!!!

Trick or Treat!!!

Friday night was a great night. The weather was good and our streets was full of witches, princess, fairies, hot dogs, and a BAT! Braden was going to go as Bob the Builder but it was to big this year. I did not want to get it fix because it is to cute the way it is. So maybe next year. Steve and Braden went out on the streets with Tyler, Oliver and parents Tasha and Jason. They cam back with a bucket full just one Brookridge. Braden was not done he wanted to go do some more. He had a great time and then when he was done he stayed at the house with me and helped me pass out candy. Our group of friends on street cam by with the kids and I must say we do have some of the cutest kids ever living on Brookridge. Braden slept good that night and we had to get ready for the next day. We had a neighborhood party/birthday party that started at 5 and then Clara's 5th year anniversary Halloween party at 7. Talk about a bust day.. We had a great time at Tyler's birthday and all the kids got along really well. We finally got to meet some the people we hear them talk about and that was really nice. Clara's party of course was family fun. We had everything from Dr.'s to witches, to Star Wars all in one house. The food was great the laughs were even better. We headed home and were in bed by 10:30 we were all 3 out!!!
We had a nice long weekend and everyone was safe and had a good time. Now we get ready to enter November. We will be heading to Memphis at the end of the month and we have a few family birthdays this month as well. We are looking forward to spending time with family and friends as we start the holiday season for 2008!!

Here are some pictures of the Bat that lives on Brookridge:

Weekend

Lets see how do we want to start this post....there is so much to say!! Friday when I got to Mom and Dad's to get Braden there was so much going on that some how my keys got locked in the car. I have a spare but it was locked in the car too. I know not smart!! Well I get the phone and I call Chase, my neighbor who is a mechanic to see if he knew anyway that I can get in the car. Well at this time I see that my lights are on and my radio is going full blast. Chase did not answer the first time so I am calling everyone I know to see if they can get me in my car. I get Chase on the phone and he says "where are you?" I tell him I am in Denton and he said "tell me where I will come and get you in the car." At this point I am telling him NO stay home I can pay a locksmith do not come all the way here. I gave the phone to his fiance (FeFe) to get directions. Sure enough they came to Denton. Chase got my car open and jumped my battery and I was off to McKinney. I love my neighbors!!! THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once I was home I had sushi dinner with Carrie and had a great time. We talked and relaxed and just had a good time. Jay showed about about a quarter to 10:00 and I left them alone and I went home.

Saturday morning was Braden's last game. He had a good time and the weather was perfect. He got a trophy and we discussed the end of year party for kids that will be this Wednesday. Braden was not the best at blast ball it was to slow paced for him so I think we will try something else in the spring. After the game we had a little end of year family party at the house of Havis. After that Braden and I went home for some down time and a bath. Steve got home a little before 6 and we headed to Denton to see my Aunt and Cousin who were in town for the weekend. What a great time we had talking and laughing and eating. It is not often that we get to see them so it was a really treat. Braden of course showed off and did hid cutest acts to impress them. We head home and we were all fast a sleep by 10:30.

Sunday we got up and had a nice breakfast and then headed to the pumpkin patch. Braden had such a good time he feed the animals, rode the train and took a hay ride. We took some food and had a nice lunch out there and just spent some time just the 3 of us. I will attache some pictures at the end of the blog. We were home in time to get the Cowboys game on. Mom and Dad came up for dinner and we had a great time. Of course the Cowboys lost but oh well there is next Sunday. My neighbors were all out so Braden and I went to say good night to everyone and then in for bath a few minutes on a movie and then off to bed.

So it was a great weekend and I think that one of the key factors was that:

UT BEAT OU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So with that I will leave you with some pictures:

Long time

Ok I am now putting myself on the "Oh my gosh can you please give us an update" list. I hear people say it all the time and I am starting to get bad. So here is what we have been up to.

Braden has been playing blast ball every Saturday. That takes up most of our Saturday morning. In the afternoon we hang out in Denton for while eat some lunch and then head back home. Once we are home we get settled in and then get ready for the Brookridge Saturday night. Sundays are nothing but FOOTBALL!!! All day long. So I have been planning things for me to do so that I can get out of the house and not watch it as much.

This past Sunday Clara and I had lunch with our friends from Round Rock. Susan, Chris, Ryan, and baby Lucy not out of Susan's tummy yet. Owen was at the fair with his grandparents. What a great talk we had. Ryan is so cute and just loved every second with him, i hate that i am not closer to them........And how excited are we for baby Lucy. After lunch Clara, Susan and I walked the West Village had the best Italian ice cream ever!!!! Not to mention the best people watching ever. IF you live in the Dallas ares you MUST go to West Village and eat and walk and shop and WATCH!!!

My Aunt and Cousin are coming in this weekend so we are getting ready for them. We are making the fall plans, Boo Zoo, pumpkin patch and ton of other things. Halloween is on a Friday this year so I am sure we will be doing something fun.
Check back for pictures, I promise I will get some on here soon.

Blast Ball Game 2

Much improvment from the first game. He went up to hit the ball and ran to the base. He did not turn around to clap for himself. When it was there turn to catch the ball he did not want to go out there. But after much pushing by MoMo and Me we got him to go out. He went just enough to throw a few handfuls of dirt then it started to rain. So me being the worried mom that I am I said " Braden lets go!" So he did well but did not want him getting sick. He was able to take his team and individual pictures and wait till you see how cute they are. BUT remember we are talking about nine three year old boys and girls trying to get all to look the same way with over 15 adults calling them all to look other directions. Braden has another game on Wednesday we play the Aggies GO LONGHORNS!!!!!!!!!!!

Ike hit Texas and he hit it good. My brothers and there family are safe and we hope that they can return home soon and try to get back on track. The kids love it they are out of school but it is hard to be away from home.

Hope you all are well where ever you may be and thanks for checking in on us. I will be sure to post more pictures as I get them.
